Put It Down On Paper & See It Come To Life!

I am so absolutely proud of myself to say the least. Never in a million years did I ever think I would have an online clothing store. It all started during the darkest time the world had to face . . . . . COVID.

I was a recent university graduate, I had no job secured because the whole world was on lock down so we all resorted to the one thing that kept us entertained at the time: TIKTOK. This was a time where people chose to either jot down crazy dreams to keep them inspired in such a dark time or just sit and scroll while seeing everyone else’s success. I went with option number one and didn't look back once. To this day, I can say God did it all and it has been one of the few God moments I have experienced.

Growing up I was always taught to put everything in God’s hands and He will take control. I did just that and let me tell you . . . . He did just that. I had saved up a good amount of money from my previous jobs and I wanted to use it towards something useful. God started opening up doors and opportunities for building my business, and not once did I feel like I was the driver. Looking back, God really did it all. Everyone I contacted for advice never said no, all the phone calls I made never ended up with a call back voicemail, every question was always answered and I was always provided with more information that I asked for.

THE NAME: Strenity

I remember brainstorming what my shop would be called. I quickly came across Proverbs 31:25 and not did I want my shop to be based on a Bible verse but I wanted it to be sustainable and real. I wanted these garments to glorify God. So I took the words STRENgth and digNITY and came up with STRENITY — and I knew that was it.

THE TIME LINE:

August 19, 2020 - I obtained my business license

March 29, 2021 - I placed my first huge shipment

April 29, 2021 - I purchased my domain/website name

May 22, 2021 - My website went live

June 2, 2021 - I received my first order online

August 12, 2021 - MY FIRST EVER POP UP!

It took me about a whole year to get all the things situated. Not only did I learn throughout the process but God showed me all things fall into place when I put it all in His hands. Nobody really knows the in struggle it is and the in-between of having to do all things yourself when wanting to create something this big. I’m beyond grateful for my family and friends for always lending a helping hand when I needed it.
